TESTIMONIALS

“The Course was in amazing condition. I have not been there since all the trees had gone and wow the place/course was the best I have ever seen it. Paraparaumu is my favorite course in NZ and last week just made me appreciate it more.” - Mahal Pearce 2003 New Zealand Open Winner Oct 2021

“Paraparaumu is my favourite course in New Zealand – it’s got the blood of golf soaking in its sprinkler system” – Erik Anders Lang, Adventures in Golf

"It was our pleasure to visit our reciprocal club Paraparaumu Beach GC at the end of January 2019. The golf course is one of the very best links courses we have had the pleasure to play.  David, the President, was more than helpful and thank him and the Members for his/their welcoming manner.  Hilary in the Pro Shop looked after all of our golfing requirements, tee times, apparel etc. and went out of her way to book a restaurant for us.  Member Brent allowed Farhad to use his buggy on Sunday.

Compared to all of the golf clubs that we have had the good fortune to play, Paraparaumu Beach is No. 1 for hospitality - by a very long way. Thank you". - Gary Powerlett, Farhad Dubash, Richard Herman, Andrew Mirams – Woodlands Golf Club, Victoria Feb 2019

"I can honestly say that an afternoon at Paraparaumu Beach will be the highlight of your trip. The highest compliment to any golf course is that you'll walk off the 18th green wanting to go straight back to the 1st tee"

- Fergal O'Leary, Top 100 Golf Courses of the World.

"Paraparaumu Beach was easily my best "pure" golfing experience in New Zealand. Thank you for making it happen"

- Ivan Morris, Ireland April 2014

“Thanks for a magnificent day at PBGC last week. Loved the course, staff were excellent and simply had a memorable day. Have to say that PBGC is one of my favourite Southern Hemisphere courses"

- Neil Martin United Kingdom, August 2012

“I have played in St Andrews most of my life and have been very fortunate to play a few other true links courses in Scotland, but Paraparaumu was a brilliant discovery. To find such a gem hidden on the coast was superb – it was a pleasure to play.”

- Alex Roome, Oct 2010

“I could never get sick of playing Paraparam’. Having grown up playing links golf in Scotland & Ireland, this mode of golf gets my wheels spinning. It feels like getting back to my roots.”

- Jamie Patton from Puregolf2010.com, Feb 2010

"If Golf was a religion, Paraparaumu Beach would be its Cathedral"

- Sev K-H Kiel Feb 2011

“One of the biggest highlights of my career was caddying for Tiger at the 2002 New Zealand Open at PBGC and he too agreed what a great layout and was very impressed with the collection of demanding par 3’s”

- Steve Williams – 2010

“After more than three decades of caddying I rate Paraparaumu Beach very highly and believe it has one of the best groups of par 3’s on any course I have encountered. The par 3 2nd, 5th, 14th and 16th will challenge the best players everytime despite not being long holes like many of the modern day par 3’s.”

- Steve Williams – 2010

“As I embarked on a career as a professional caddy I was very fortunate to caddy on many of the Worlds best courses and I began to realise that my own home club was indeed as good as many of the best around the World”

- Steve Williams – 2010

- The Cut Magazine – April 2009

“PB is a great example of how intelligent design on appropriate terrain can remain relevant in spite of technological advances. With the fescues revived and the ball "alive" when it lands, once again the links shows that the interest and intrigue associated with its counterparts in the British Isles is alive and well on the Kapiti Coast.”

- Greg Turner – New Zealand Open Winner 1989,1997

"Quite rightly regarded as one of the best links in the southern hemisphere"
